Geocache Description:

This used to be a favorite playground for all kids when I was a youngster growing up in Thwing and a lovely place it was, A hollow with a pond surrounded by shrubs and trees, sadly the pond seems to have gone, If the church is open please take a few minuets to look inside and admire the stained glass windows. The approach to the cache is not suitable for wheelchairs but ok for a buggy will be muddy if wet, There are some roads to cross please take care of the children.

Clue 1: Park at or near the cross roads N54`06 937 W000 23 747 Here you will find a signpost that informs us that Malton is A B ½ miles. Clue 2: Go to All Saints Church N54’07.007 W000`23 769 here inside the front porch is a plaque, that tells the career of Thomas Lamplugh who was born in the parish and went on to become Archbishop of York from 168C-1691, He became Dean of Rochester in DEFG. The porch was erected 190H to commemorate 6J years of Queen Victoria’s Glorious Reign The Cache a small round 250ml cliptop box can now be found at N54`0F H (B-A) D.
