Along a route that used to be the Erie Canal and its towpath
This is the second in a series of caches that will show you where the famous name-brand Erie Canal used to be. Look east carefully at the Porter Avenue bridge. The circular posts that hold up each side are still there from the bridge that crossed the Erie Canal--a little bit of urban beauty you may never have noticed!
After studying and appreciating the historic pillars, walk along the fence--no need to cross, even if you could--and you'll find the treasure!
