Geocache Description:

At the newly uncovered Commerical Slip--the actual western terminus of the famed--the one and only--Erie Canal!

This is the third in a series of caches that will show you where the famous name-brand Erie Canal used to be. Bring a pencil and rehide well. This new development is bringing lots of visitors!
I just upgraded the difficulty because of the erratic satellite reads here.
For a real treat, see what this spot looked like in 1880 with a birds-eye view! Go to loc.gov, choose American Memory, maps, put in Buffalo and you can access an amazingly detailed map of the Buffalo harbor. You can even see canal boats being pulled by the ol' mule, whose name, I believe, was Sal!
Congratulations to Cayuga Crew on the FTF!
