Geocache Description:

Happy Thanksgiving!

Everyone is invited to come and join in on the holiday spirit, good cheer and some real good food. We will be getting together at the Dunlap Coke Ovens park in Dunlap Tennessee at 1:00pm Eastern/Noon Central time for a Thanksgiving Potluck Picnic. We will be deep frying a turkey or two so bring your favorite side dishes or maybe a dessert to share. There is plenty of table room for food and eating areas.

Remember, even though there is a large covered pavilion, this is a outdoor event so you will need to dress accordingly depending on the weather. We will have a bonfire to gather around to keep warm and swap Thanksgiving Geo-tales and Holiday Geo-stories. Be sure to bring your lawn chairs and make a full day of fun out of it.

Directions To The Park:

The Historic Coke Ovens Park is located 1 mile west of downtown Dunlap. If headed south on U.S. 127 through Dunlap, turn right on Cherry Street at the one and only downtown traffic light and follow the signs to the Coke Ovens. If headed north on U.S. 127 through Dunlap, turn left on Cherry Street at the one and only downtown traffic light and follow the signs to the Coke Ovens.
From Chattanooga, TN take US 27 to the U.S.127/Dunlap exit via state highway 111 west and go south on U.S. 127 then follow above directions.
