Hampstead Heath Extension is an area joining Hampstead Heath in London, England, which lies to the south.
It was created out of farmland, largely due to the efforts of Henrietta Barnett who went on to found Hampstead Garden Suburb.
The cache is one of four similar ones with a currency connection! It is a blue-topped microwave box and contains a pencil and a logbook together with several items including a card! It also contains various coins – if you take one, please replace it with another foreign coin!
It is hidden near two branches close to the park-keeper’s buildings and yard, the toilets and a well-used path.
It is just over ½ a mile from Golders Green Station – you can park closer - and if you follow the path uphill (a gentle slope!) you reach the delights of either/both the Bull & Bush pub and Golders Hill park (across the road) – ice creams especially recommended!
