Geocache Description:

A Pleasant Peaceful Panorama Spot? Substitute a word as you like.

This cache is located on the Ayr/Ravenswood road a few kilometres from the "White Blow" (aka SiO2).

Whilst most people will access this cache by coming out a bit further from Ravenswood direction, consider taking the journey up to Ravenswood along the back road from Ayr - check road conditions. Although it is mostly a good 2wd dirt road as it winds along the flat through irrigated sugar country and then through cattle stations, it turns to bitumen on the section known as the Doug Haigh Drive as it climbs the range. (Doug Haigh is a former Burdekin Shire Engineer.) Near the top of this small range is a pull-off area used as an unofficial lookout.

The 1.2l sistema plastic container cache is up on the small ridge behind, about 10-15 metres or so back from the power poles under rocks on the far side of the trail. (I was having a little difficulty settling the GPS here)

Enjoy the view. We usually stop here and get the thermos and smoko out.

Note: geomum HDSpringer will maintain this cache on my behalf.
