Die "Hürth Führt" Caches zeigen Euch einige schöne oder
interessante Orte in Hürth.
Die Einhornstatue der MMC Fernsehstudios ist das Wahrzeichen von
Hürth. Im Gewerbegebiet in den Stadtteilen Kalscheuren, Hermülheim
und Efferen haben neben den MMC Studios, in denen schon Teile von
"Die fabelhafte Welt der Amélie" gedreht wurden, und den
Nobeo-Studios auch einige Fernsehproduktionsfirmen, sowie die
Stuntfirma Action Concept mit eigenem Hubschrauberlandeplatz ihren
Sitz. Die Gebrüder Breuer, die MMC gründeten, betrieben vorher ein
Kranunternehmen, insofern ist es auch symbolisch zu verstehen, dass
ein Krangerüst die Basis für die Einhornstatue bildet.
Dieser Cache ist Rudi Carrell gewidmet, der oft in Hürth arbeitete,
dem es hier aber gar nicht gefiel. In einem Interview äusserte er,
das Beste an Hürth, sei die Autobahn, über die er schnell wieder
nach Bremen gelangt.

The "Hürth Führt" caches take you to some beautiful or interesting
places in Hürth.
The unicorn statue of the MMC tv-studios is the landmark of Hürth.
Not only the MMC studios, where scenes for "Le fabuleux destin
d'Amélie Poulain" have been shot, but also the Nobeo studios,
several tv production companies and the stunt company Action
Concept with its own heliport are located in the industrial area in
the quarters Kalscheuren, Hermülheim and Efferen. The Breuer
brothers who launched the MMC had a crane company before, so it is
also symbolical, that a crane pillar is the base for the unicorn
statue.
This cache is dedicated to the great Dutch entertainer Rudi
Carrell, who often worked in Hürth but did not like it here at all.
In an interview he said, the best thing about Hürth was the
Autobahn that takes him back to Bremen quickly.
