Along the Rock Furnace Trail in Apollo
This is an official small geocaching lock n lock container so take small trade items and a writing stick. A long (1.8 mile each way) but an easy walk or bike ride along the flat roaring run trail or take a shorter (1 mile each way) but more hilly walk along the rock furnace trail. There is a parking area at both trail heads. The rock furnace trail parking area is located along brownstown road. A sign is next to the road. Roaring run trail parking is located at the end of Canal St.
Either way will take you past lots of history on your way to a new foot bridge over roaring run. This is a swinging bridge that was built by many volunteers. Mostly members of the roaring run watershed association. A special recognition goes to Max Sepinsky who spent many hours organizing the construction of the bridge.
This whole area is very senic so bring your camera. Hunting is permitted in the area so wear your orange. The 2 terrain rating is for the distance. Please do NOT dig in the Rocks/stones. It's not there. Added extra hint since the cache was originally placed.
