Geocache Description:

A Park Ridge, IL movie cache for THE BLUES BROTHERS. The cache is a micro that has no room for a pencil. If you forget yours just go into the gas station and steal one. That's what Jake would do.*

Park Ridge, IL served as the backdrop for two key scenes in the movie THE BLUES BROTHERS. This location sets up one of the key plot points of the movie. Elwood, along with his brother 'Joliet' Jake, drives through a yellow light at the intersection of Cumberland and Talcott avenues and is immediately pulled over by the Illinois State police for running a red light. When the troopers tell him why he was pulled over, Elwood responds with the title of this cache. After verifying Elwood's license is revoked, the troopers attempt to arrest him, but Elwood takes off in the Bluesmobile.

When you find the cache, you'll be pretty close to the camera position used in the movie. Take a picture of yourself between the gas station and the funeral home and post it here! And certainly feel free to drive north on Cumberland Avenue listening to Sam & Dave's Soothe Me on your in-dash 8-Track player while crossing Talcott. Just make sure the light is green! You don't want to end up being chased by Troopers Daniel and Mount.

When you're done, drive on down the street to Elwoooood to visit another BLUES BROTHERS movie location.
