NOTE: This cache was moved and reactivated in September of 2016 due to being muggled. The new hide is in the same general area of the church property.
Originally set up in late 2007 as a place to release travel bugs for a middle school cross-curriculum project, this cache had served that purpose for several years. Unfortunately, the large ammo can was stolen in the early summer of 2016. While disappointing, this is such a great location that we have decided to move the location a bit and reactivate it. Hopefully this hide will last at least another 9 years!
This church property is on the outskirts of Waupaca just seconds off Highway 10, Hwy 22, and Hwy 54, and is a perfect location for very quick access. This is our fifth Waupaca area church cache, and for the most part these sites have worked well.
You are looking for a small ammo can that is chained to a tree. It is now hidden just off the NE corner of the second paved parking lot. Hike into a level pine woods for less than 50', then down the hill just a few steps. It is off the ground a bit, so the cache is winter friendly, but there may be snowbanks to climb over from the plowing of the parking lot. Please re-hide the container and the extra chain carefully, and be sure to complete all logging of any trackables taken or dropped off.
Permission to place this cache was granted by Father Brian when he was the parish priest at St. M-M. Cachers are asked to please not seek this cache during regular Saturday evening or Sunday morning church service times, or during any outdoor church activities. Events and service times are posted on the church sign out near the highway, but are regularly scheduled for 4:30 - 6:00 pm Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00 to noon. Weekday mass is at 8:00 am, but it is OK for cachers visit at this during this time Mondays - Fridays.

As a result, they'd like to hear your feedback on whether you liked or disliked any aspect of the hide, or if you feel that some cache maintenance is required. Single word, acronym, or emoticon logs may be easier, but it doesn't tell the hider or other finders anything about your adventure (or lack thereof) in finding the cache.
