Originally set up as a place to release travel bugs for a middle school cross-curriculum project, this cache has served that purpose for several years. While still a great place for dropping off TB's, it is now more of a general purpose Geocache.
This church property is on the outskirts of Waupaca just seconds off Highway 10, Hwy 22, and Hwy 54, and is a perfect location for very quick and easy access. This is our fifth Waupaca area church cache, and these sites seem to work well.
This is a large container that is painted camo. It is hidden just off the second paved parking lot. It is well off the ground, so the cache is very winter friendly, but there may be snowbanks to climb over from the plowing of the parking lot. Please re-hide and re-camo carefully, and be sure to complete all logging of any trackables taken or dropped off.
Park at N44* 20.311 W089* 05.885, and hike in level open woods for less than 50'. This was a beautiful mature forest hillside overlooking a wetland valley until a logging operation left it such a mess. What a shame!
Permission to place this cache has been granted by Father Brian former priest at St. M-M. Cachers are asked to please not seek this cache during regular Saturday evening or Sunday morning church service times, or during any outdoor church activities. Events and service times are posted on the sign near the highway, but are regularly scheduled for 4:30 - 6:00 pm Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00 to noon. Weekday mass is at 8:00 am, and it is OK for cachers visit at this during this time Mondays - Fridays.
|Logging Etiquette: Geocache hiders sometimes go through a great deal of planning to place their caches. As a result, they'd like to hear your feedback on whether you liked or disliked any aspect of the hide, or if you feel that some cache maintenance is required. Single word, acronym, or emoticon logs may be easier when you have a lot of caches to log, but it doesn't tell the hider or other finders anything about your adventure (or lack thereof) in finding the cache. Please keep this in mind when entering your log.
