Geocache Description:

This cache was created for my daughter’s Junior Girl Scout troop in Ansonia.  It's located at the Ansonia Nature Center and is not snow-friendly.  If you plan on doing the nearby 'Nature and the Last Settlement' cache as well, do that one first.  There are several letterboxes in this park also.  Bring the kids and visit the Nature Center and playscape.  The park is open year-round from sunrise to sunset.  The Nature Center is open from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM daily except holidays.  Currently, they take the animals out at noon on Saturdays, and a Ranger leads a hike on Sundays at 1:00.

I've provided a waypoint for the Raptor Woods trailhead, but you do not need to go that way.  The cache is very close to a trail and there are several ways to get there.  The trails are not blazed and some lead to dead-ends.  At some point, you may find yourself doing some bushwhacking.  The woods are fairly open and not too difficult.

Initial swag consists of things a youngster would like as well as a FTF prize.  Please re-hide the cache as well as, or better, than you find it.

Car-Cache-Car: approx. 1.5 miles and < 1 hour.
