"Stories come to life on the 1st Saturday of each November at George West Storyfest. Everything from folklore to fable, history to tall tales, ghost stories to cowboy poetry and even sacred stories are told. With live oak trees for canopies and hay bales for seats, thousands gather each year to celebrate this time-honored tradition." Fun event in a great Texas town, but no cache around...till now! I was in town for the Storyfest when I placed this cache. What a great day of stories and music. This years winner of the Biggest Liar in Texas was Dennis Gaines of Kerrville. Boy what a whopper he told! This place is where many gather for informal storytelling, especially after football games, golf outings and fishing trips. Come by anytime and see if any of the locals are "telling". Lots of muggles always, so be very carful!
