Geocache Description:

Overlooks a spot near where "Bigfoot" prints were seen in the snow and sand.

In late December, 1976, Robinson Park in Agawam briefly received national attention when “Bigfoot” prints were discovered near this location. The curious descended on Agawam, local authorities organized an investigation, and an outside “Bigfoot Expert” was brought in to investigate. For details, see: (visit link)

The Sasquatch never did show, people lost interest, and a few weeks later a local teen was caught with 28” plywood “feet” and confessed to the prank..

Still, locals estimated the footprints at 18” or 20" not 28", and a few conspiracy types claim the plywood feet were a cover-up to protect the Robinson Park Tourist Industry.

Even today, some neighbors say that on misty mornings, in the early twilight, dogs bark for no apparent reason, and some strange sounds are heard from down near the river…

Recommended parking at N42 05.667 W72 38.438, and be sure to stop at N42 05.822 W72 38.641 and see if Bigfoot is wandering down below.

Keep an eye on younger children, the bank is steep, though no need to descend, at least not very far.

The cache is stocked with items that Bigfoot might need should he return: Toenail clippers, Dr. Schoal's footpads, toe warmers... and a plush Bigfoot of sorts to the FTF.
