Should be an easy find about 30 minutes North of Denton. Parking off road at gate.

This cemetery has been logged as the Oak Hill Cemetery, "a forgotten and untended" cemetery. I have also heard it called the Boydstun Cemetery. It has now been cleared and is mowed. Feel free to look around at the old stones and markers.
I have heard many differing stories from local area historians. The most prevalent is that this was the site of the Oak Hill School and a small church. At some point there was an epidemic and many of the area residents passed away, include several children. The school was shut down and the “hill” became the cemetery.
Don’t know how much is true. I am of a mind to do some research on the area and find out. So, if anyone has web sites, or places, or just cemetery information to pass on, please, feel free to shoot me an email.
Just a bit of an update. My nephew did his Eagle Scout project here. THANKS ERIC! He and my sister researched the names and found a living relative for all but one person. The information and research is availble at the Morton Museum in Gainesville.
Oh and the Daniels buried here - yup, a relative of Jack.
