WanAus 11 - Mary Carroll Park? Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Khadzz13: I apologise that this cache has to be archived as the location is simply not suitable. The surroundings have been overgrown by dense bush… It will be replaced by another in the very near future!

Thank you WanAus for placing and maintaining this cache for the time it has been hidden.

Regards, Khadzz13 😁

Geocache Description:

An easy walk or roll along the path around the other part of Mary Carroll Park.

Due to the temporary nature of pens and pencils in my geocaches
BRING YOUR OWN WRITING IMPLEMENT!!!

The cache has been moved in response to the heads-up from AlliedOz and Zodiakhorizon.

Tree cover makes GPS bounce around a bit, however if you follow the path until "the arrow" is pointing at right angles, you should see the "obvious place" the arrow is pointing at. (There are two paperbark trees there). Difficulty has been increased to 1.5 because of the tree cover, and terrain has increased to 1.5 because it's not quite as wheelchair accessible anymore, although most wheelies I've met would probably laugh and say "rate it at 0.75".

Most people only think of the area surrounding the big lake as Mary Carroll Park, but some of my maps also list the park and smaller lake SouthWest of Eudoria Street as part of Mary Carroll Park. This area is also popular with the muggle canine walkers as well as bird watchers.

The cache is now a 500 ml drab camo'd screw-top plastic container, with a log, a pen, 2 pencils, a sharpener, Finders Cards, and a few swaps.

Contents are log book, finders cards, a pen, two pencils, a pencil sharpener, and a selection of swaps.

This cache is now part of a series leading towards a Bonus Box, GC1RN04 WanAus 103 - Bonus Box replacing my archived cache GC5XECE WanAus 13 - Jean Garvey Park which had replaced my archived cache GC1PGAX WanAus 71 - Gurney VC Club Gun. There is a BB number in the back of the log book. You will need to record this number in the format 71? (from WanAus 71 and ? for the BB number) for future reference. Note that the number you need to record is not 11?, you must record it as 71? in order for it to sort correctly and assign the value to the correct variable.

This is just a suggestion, but it may help you to keep track of the BB numbers.
Every cache page has "*Personal Cache Note" *Click to enter a note, just above Geocache Description:
You could either add the code to each individual cache, or add all numbers to GC1RN04 WanAus 103 - Bonus Box .

If you previously found GC1PGAX WanAus 71 - Gurney VC Club Gun OR (after 13 Jul 11) GC177G5 WanAus 13 - Jean Garvey Park OR GC5XECE WanAus 13 - Jean Garvey Park V2 AND recorded the number it is still correct, so you don't need to record this one.

When trading items please consider trading up or trading even and leaving items that you would want to find, and please don't take the pen, pencil or sharpener. If you can't trade up or trade even I don't mind seeing TNLNSL in the log.

Trackables (geocoins and travel bugs) are not tradeable items. Please feel free to take them without making a trade, but please leave a note in the logbook and your online log, and do log them online.
