Geocache Description:

Easy walk through nice forest with good paths, stealth may required during summer months.

Opening times : Open daily 9 am-dusk Prices : Car £3 (under review).

Portglenone Forest continues a history of mature woodland cover since ancient times, which protects the woodland flora and fauna. As such, the 26 hectare main area contains extensive colonies of ancient woodland flower species - Bluebell, Wood Anemone, Wild Garlic and many broadleaves and riverside walks. The swathes of bluebells in spring are especially remarkable, as is the Grove dedicated to Dr. Augustine Henry.
Facilities include picnic sites, toilets with wheelchair access, and a number of waymarked Trails leading dowo the Bann River .
At time of placing Cache contained 2 New Zealand coins, 2 keyrings and a disposable camera ( please take you picture when you find the cache and replace camera for the next hunter ). Surprise for first to find. Also contains a travel bug please move it as far as possible. Clear plastic Geo cache container wrapped it plastic. please replace and cover as found.
