Múzeum gitár v Sobranciach, jediné v Európe a jedno z dvoch na svete (to druhé sa nachádza v americkom Nashville), sa nachádza asi 200m od centra mesta v blízkosti pravoslávneho kostola.
Hlavnú cast výstavy tvoria elektronické gitary ceskoslovenskej výroby z obdobia rokov 1947-1980. Najvzácnejšími exponátmi sú gitary Gracioso (na takej zacínal svoju kariéru George Harisson z Beatles). Sú tu aj dalšie vzácne kusy, ktoré do zbierok venovali aj Petr Janda z Olympicu a Mato Durinda z Tublatanky. Zvláštnostou múzea je možnost zahrat si na niektorých exponátoch (havajská gitara, harmónium, ...). Nie len deti zaujme gitara Coca-Cola vyrobená zakladatelom múzea.
V expozícii uvidíte necelú polovicu zbierky, pretože múzeum je zatial v skromných priestoroch ktoré neumožnujú vystavit všetko.
Otváracie hodiny na bránicke sú len orientacné. Najlepšie je sa dopredu objednat na telefónnom císle 056/6523356. Ak len náhodou pôjdete okolo a chcete si to pozriet, skúste zazvonit. Ak bude niekto doma, urcite vám múzeum ukáže. Vstupné - kolko uznáte za vhodné.
Hned vedla múzea je keramická dielna. Ak si chcete vyskúšat modelovanie z hliny, je potrebné sa vopred objednat na uvedenom císle.
Aby bola keška dostupná nezávisle od otváracích hodín, je umiestnená na uvedených súradniciach asi 50 metrov od múzea.

The guitar museum in Sobrance, the only one in Europe and one of two in the World (another is in american Nashville), is situated about 200m from the centre of the town next to the Orthodox church.
The main part of exposition are electronic guitars of czechoslovak production from years 1947-1980. The most valuable exhibits are guitars Gracioso (with such one George Harisson from Beatles had started his career). There are also some other rare pieces which were donated also by Petr Janda from Olympic and Mato Durinda from Tublatanka. Speciality of the museum is a chance to play some exhibits (steel guitar, harmonium, ...). Not only children will be interested in the Coca-Cola guitar constructed by the museum founder.
You can see only less than a half of whole collection in the exposition because the museum has limited room now which not allow to exhibit all.
Opening hours on the gate are only informative. The best way is to book your visit in advance by phone on +421-56-6523356. If you just pass by and want to see it, try to ring the bell. If somebody will be at home you will be invited to see the museum. The entrance fee depends on your decision.
There is a ceramics workshop next to the museum. If you want to try modeling of clay booking in advance by phone on number mentioned above is required.
To make the cache accessible independently of the opening hours it is situated on given coordinates about 50 metres from the museum.
