Geocache Description:

This cache is in American Lake Park. The approach is a slight slope, but paved. As you approach, on a clear day the view is outstanding. This nicely kept park is a bright spot in the neighborhood on the way to the Veteran's Administration Hospital just down the road. Hidden on the 42nd anniversary of the 173rd Airborne's bad day versus 1200 Viet Cong during Operation Hump.

Congrats to WAORGANY for FTF!! If I read my acronyms right, I'm not so sure you're an East Coast cacher, just partially East Coast trained...DOL to your RLTW! I went to some of the schools for boys as well...

The cache is now hidden a little better. The cache itself is not camoflaged, so when you find it, you'll know! Just please put it back carefully to keep it hidden for future cachers... log only, bring a pen. If you sit here long enough on a clear day you might see a CH-47 fly by and let out a bunch of water jumpers - much better than the cold salt water out at Ketron Island!
