New coordinates: N47°05.802' E019°59.962' Close to River Danube stands Petofi tree, where the famous Hungarian poet wrote his poem “Piroslik már a fákon a levél” (The leaves goes red on the trees). On 2nd July in 1978 a thunder hit the old oak, which destroyed most of the tree. Of this part carver Ferenc Polyak made statues of Petofi family, in 10 days. The rest part is lying near the tree. When I was a child it was possible to stand inside the tree, but in the 90's the big hole was filled in. There is a camp near the tree, and lot of people are fishing in the lake by the cache, so be careful. Some words about Petofi: (you can read more about Petofi here:) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Petofi_Sandor Thanks to PaLEOL the cache changed back to regular type.
