2007 NWOGEO 4th Annual Holiday Shindig • 9.Dec.07 Event Cache

The leaves are falling and the snow can't be far behind, so it's time for the NWOGEO Holiday Shindig!

When: Sunday, December 9, 2007 - 11:30am to 6pm

Where: Nederhouser Community Hall at Olander Park, Sylvania, OH

Olander Park is the 60-acre recreational oasis of Sylvania and Sylvania Township. Its spring-fed 28 acre lake is a popular destination for fishing, boating, and swimming. Olander's 1.1 mile paved loop around Lake Olander is ideal for walking, jogging, rollerblading, and bicycling. Sorry, no pets are allowed in Olander Park.

What: A gathering of our geocaching friends to share some good times, good food, and holiday spirit.

Details:

• 11:00 am - Shindig committee to set up. Walk-in volunteers welcome. Coffee and Hot Chocolate available.

• 11:30 am - Cachers may begin to arrive at that time...please, no earlier at the hall...give us a little set up time to prepare for you!
• 
  
• Please stop at the registration table to pick up your name tags, register for the event and dinner and sign our log book! Also, pick up your 2007 NWOGEO Holiday Shindig signature ornament!
• $8 per adult cacher will be collected at the door. One free child registration with each adult.
• Please bring a favorite desert to share. We had some great ones last year.
• Poker Run cache information will be available once you have registered! In addition to the poker caches, there will be other new caches in the area.
• There will be a 50/50 raffle and a raffle for a 55gal “pickle barrel cache”
• Stop by the Trackables and Sig Item Swap tables all event long!

• 3:00 pm - Dinner and Music

• Return your poker cards to the table!
• Enjoy Vito’s pizza, delicious 3 cheese bread, subs, veggies, and desert. Drinks include, coffee, hot chocolate, soda and of course and Grandma’s Green Punch™!!
• "Fossil Creek" will be playing live bluegrass and traditional Christmas selections. Send any song requests to the profile of “Bluegrass & Greenthumb”

• Golden Ammo Box presentations – We will honor our recent NWOGEO 1k cachers
• NWOGEO Poker Run – Announcement of Top 3 best hands in the game.
• Christmas Cookie Swap drawing – if you wish to participate, bring a container of a dozen cookies to swap with the other participants. Please label what kind of cookies they are!
• Christmas Gift Exchange – if you wish to participate, bring a wrapped $5 gift to randomly exchange with other cachers.
• Cache and talk the afternoon away…

• 6:00 PM - Let's clean up the Lodge and pack up the Sleigh so Santa can go home!
