Geocache Description:

This is the 3rd in a series of “No More” Caches. Places and things that once were but are No More. (some others in the series, Mill, Bridge)

While out driving around Mormon Emigrant Trail (MET), actually probing side roads looking for another cache, I came across this place. I instantly recognized it for what it had been and said to myself “self a great place for a ‘No More’ cache.”

Soon this will be all that is left of the Baltic Peak Lookout, although the tower from Baltic is suppose to end up in Gold Bug Park in Placerville as a display piece. Who knows what happened to this place. No, really I mean who knows, anyone-anyone, Bueller-Bueller, sorry I digress.

The MET does not have any snow removal during the winter but there are times when the road is open but these side roads are covered in snow, the intrepid cacher that is a x-country skier or a snow-shoer should be able to reach this cache.

Please be careful and don’t disturb the “device.” You will know it when you see it.
It also appears to be some revelry is going on here, maybe some camping too so I moved the hide several hundred feet away from the main area in hopes that the above mentioned revelers don’t find it.

The usual Sierra warnings: Snakes, bears, bugs, mt. lions and maybe a poison plant or two.
