Geocache Description:

A small DECON container hidden off the Hamburg Trail in the Weldon Spring Conservation Area. A short bushwhack of a few feet is required. If approached from the trail, no fences or streams are to be crossed.

An hour before WWII officially ended, the 187th Regimental Combat Team conducted an airborne operation in Japan to spearhead the occupation of Japan. While serving as occupation forces, the 187th received the title "Rakkasan" from the Japanese which literally translated means "Falling Down Umbrella". The 187th RCT currently resides at Fort Campbell, KY as 3rd Brigade, 101st Airborne Division (AASLT). (visit link)

This cache is dedicated to all of those that walked under the Torii or served with the 187th RCT.

As a reminder, use common sense when caching during any of the hunting seasons. No rocks or plants need to be disturbed in locating the cache. The area hours are from 4am to 10pm.
