I had been searching out caches all day and I was tired and needed to take a side trip down a side road.
As I was enjoying the view, I noticed the sun going down exactly behind that mountain peak! Wow, I thought, it's not winter yet and here the sun goes down so far south. I bet this happens only twice a year!!!
I grabbed my TrueNorth compass and noted that the peak was at azimuth 252 degrees true!
Take the date that I was here... subtract the month divided by 1000 from the posted longitude. Take the day divided by 100 and multiply by two. Add this to the latitude of the posted coordinates. Now add .0044 times the month to this.
Accuracy is really important. Please e-mail me if in doubt.
