Geocache Description:


In June of 2007 I had the privilege of accompany several teenagers from Mountain View Presbyterian church on their mission to Heredia Costa Rica to build a house for someone in need. Miriam's home was condemned and she didn't have the funds to repair or replace it. We partnered with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) in Heredia to acquire the building materials, the permission from the city and a local builder to assist us in our Mission. We had 9 days, very little experience but a lot of heart and desire. It was a great feeling to assist someone who had a lot of faith but little money. This is the third home in four years the Mountain View Presbyterian church youth group has built in Costa Rica.

While in Costa Rica we stayed at the YWAM base located in Los Angeles de San Rafael de Heredia. The property is on the northern hills of the Central Valley and sits at about 4,500 feet above sea level. It is 5 acres of cypress, fruit trees, and pasture. Our hosts were Terry & Donna Keith the base directors and the summer staff.

To celebrate our mission I assembled two identical caches (twins). The caches are sandwich size lock n lock containers covered in Camo tape.

The Heredia Cache ( YWAM Twin A) is located under a dead natural object just past the stone wall on the front of the base property.

The Marysville Cache ( YWAM Twin B) is on the Mountain View Presbyterian property near 51st AVE NE under a natural object. Please do not hunt for this Cache on Sunday Mornings until after 1 PM.
