The inspiration for the cache comes from London Invasion which I completed in 2007. It takes about 2 hours to complete on foot. There have been numerous changes to the aliens and the location of the final cache over the years as aliens have gone and the original final area became a dumping ground. The last changes were made on 22.11.21.
This cache and others in my bookmarked list highlight the work of the artist Invader who has created small tiled murals of space invaders in cities around the world. One of the cities he has visited is Manchester- at least that is what is claimed. Or could it be that aliens are really amongst us...
No-one would have believed in the first years of the twenty first century that the world was being watched keenly and closely by intelligences greater than men's. Intellects vast and cool and unsympathetic, regarded the earth with envious eyes and slowly and surely drew their plans against us. How they travelled across the gulf of space, we cannot tell, but in 2004 forty-seven of them arrived in Manchester. Most people do not see them, but they are here and they are waiting. If we are to be saved, we must find the landing location for the Mother Ship. Follow the signs that ten of the aliens provide and its location will be revealed.
