Primary Election Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

ePeterso2: Swung by this one this a.m. based upon the last log entry. Yeah, the second stage and two of the three third stages are gone.

Sorry to see this one go. But if you've been wondering what the answer to this one is, here's a handy little tool cooked up by one of my test solvers. http://www.epeterso2.com/geocaching/gc17d3e/theanswer.html

Geocache Description:

About This Cache

I placed this cache in honor of the 2008 Florida Presidential Primary Election.

The posted coordinates will take you to the symbol of our great nation. There is nothing there that will help you find this cache, but feel free to visit that location - stand tall, recite the Pledge of Allegience, and prepare to do your civic duty.

Finding This Cache

To log a find on this cache, you must enter the polling place, and check in at the proper precinct. When you check in, you will be given information to locate the voting machine specific to the political party of your choice. Find that voting machine, and cast your vote by signing the log sheet in that machine. There are three machines available: red for Republicans, blue for Democrats, and neither red nor blue for Independents. The location of the polling place and is given in the image below.

Additional Logging Options

In your log entry, you should post a photo of yourself holding a voter identification card. If you don't have a voter ID card or don't want to use your real one, a handmade one will do. Bonus points will be awarded for creativity.

Also, your log entry should state which one of the three voting machines you used (Republican, Democrat, or Independent). You must vote at least once. (The voting machine you choose does not have to reflect your actual party affiliation.)

Log entries may deleted without warning for any of the following reasons:

  • Location spoilers in photos or descriptions
  • Political soapboxing (this is a geocache, not a debate forum)

Have fun with this one!

First to Find Honors

This cache has three chances for you to score First to Find honors. The first person to find one of the three voting machines may claim FTF honors for that machine. Because of the Additional Logging Requirements, you cannot claim FTF honors for more than one of the three machines.
