I hope you enjoy your stroll round this charming downland village beside the River Cuckmere. If you do the clues in order it takes you right round the old village but they can, of course, be done in any order. The coordinates take you to a free car park on the outskirts of the village. If it is full there is another car park on the other side of the main road but you will probably have to pay to park there. The cache can be done at night but you will need a decent torch. The road gets very busy at times and the river can be deep and very fast flowing after rain so be careful especially if you have children with you. The village church is well worth a visit and is huge for the size of the old village hence its nickname "The Cathedral of the Downs". The Old Clergy House is the first property ever acquired by The National Trust & well worth a visit.
