Geocache Description:

Mythical Creatures

In every area of the world there are legends and folk tales that tell of Mythical creatures, some good some bad. Some tales tell of creatures that help with daily chores and gift us with blessings. others tell of dark secrets and dark doings.....

GARGOYLES
Gragoyles are stone statues of grotesque creatures. They are said to turn to stone by day and are free to move about the city and country side by night.
Gargoyles are usually seen as a winged humanoid race with demonic fetures such as tail, horns and talons.
Examples of Gargoyles would be found at Nortre Dame church in Dijon France, St. Margarets church Wolstanton, England, Chimera of the St Patrick church Flagstaff, AZ and the Washington National Cathedral in Washington DC, along with the Chrystler Building.
