Placed near the Pennsylvania Turnpike with all of the traffic noise but none of the danger.
Our original Turnpike Closeup cache became overgrown and virtually impossible to get to. This “new & improved” version is placed close by but should remain accessible for a much longer period of time. We’ve decided to dedicate it to the last person to log a find at the original Turnpike Closeup, Masican – if he had to go through anything like we had to while retrieving the original, we owe him at least this dedication. (An honorable mention goes to andGuest who made at least two valiant attempts to get to it.)
We placed the new version off of an existing trail and it should require little or no bushwhacking. The container is now an ammo can and the hide is fairly straightforward. There are at least two approaches to this cache that we are aware of (not counting accessing it from the Turnpike, which we, of course, do not suggest). Don’t forget to dress appropriately for hunting season. Have fun.
