KINGFISHER is a micro located at the Augusta Canal. Kingfisher -The belted kingfisher perches conspicuously on a tree limb over a river or lake while searching for fish; they sometimes feed on lizards and insects. When flying from one perch to another they often fly with uneven wing beats, uttering it's rattling call as it goes. The nest is at the end of an unlined chamber dug in a sand or gravel bank where 5-8 white eggs are laid.
The best place to park is N 33.29.680 W 081.59.833 which is easily found at the end of Milledge Rd., just past The Augusta Green Jacket's stadium. The Cache is wheelchair accessible and located within 175 feet of the parking lot.
I don't think you will be bothered by lingering muggles, however, there may be several passing by on their way to the canal walking and biking trails. Please use stealth and replace the container exactly as you found it!
Unfortunately, "KINGFISHER'S" old nest was repeatedly muggled and the area constantly visited by undesirables so he has moved his residence across the canal to a safer more "Geo-friendly" place.
Here's the best part! Even if you found the old Archived KINGFISHER you can now enjoy a new hunt and add another find!
