The first Westwood Hills Geocache, originally hidden August 18, 2001. Placed in a pouch in a log, the first clue said Wombats and wallabies have something in common with the cache. I have rehidden it on July 4, 2005.
This cache is ready to be found again. Located in city nature park in west Napa. Steep hills, great views. No fee required. There are restrooms available at the adjacent Nature Center on the weekends. Trails are steep in places, but not very long. Parking lot located at N38° l8.l72', W122° l9.170', but closer to the cache there are pull-outs on Thompson Ave. There are picnic tables scattered throughout the park. Before you leave, be sure to check the view at N38° 17.668', W122° 19.144' (altitude about 450 feet). I always come up here on the fourth of July in the evening, and bring a lawn chair and a radio. KVON has music from John Phillip Sousa in time to the fireworks.
