UPDATE: Due to easy border crossings between the UAE and Oman only being available to UAE and GCC nationals, I am marking this cache as being in Oman. Previously it was available to UAE residents of all nationalities but this is no longer the case and you may have difficulty finding the cache if you are not a UAE or GCC national.
WELCOME to the Six – T cache
The cache contains memories of our trip to Thailand in September 2007. It is placed in the mountains of Hatta, though in an area I have never ventured previously while on the caching trail. It is reasonably close to an area where they are extracting the rock / sand (probably for the nearby crusher) though at the cache site it is highly unlikely that you will see anyone. The cache is hidden from view so you should have the opportunity to find the cache and log the find in peace. You will definitely need a 4X4 to get close to the cache site, unless you want a really long walk from the tar road.
The original contents of the cache: I) larger incense burners, II) smaller incense burners, III) small candles (and I mean really small), IV) small coin pouches, V) small doll key rings, VI) tuk-tuk key rings, VII) Thai face key rings, VIII) wooden elephant key rings, IX) Small wooden dolls in boats (from the Floating Market outside of Bangkok), X) two stress balls (designed to be held as a pair), XI) a small blue purse, XII) 5 Travel Bugs (one each for GeoCRAt, Liveonce, phoenixdxb and Springstone), and my Tacky Pachy Travel Bug, and a (recycled) FTF coin, XII) the cache note, the (reasonably small Thailand) logbook and a pen.
For those that have visited my caches previously, you will find this cache easier than the CHRISTMAS cache and the GOLF cache, though it is more difficult than the LOVE cache. It has about the same level of difficulty as the PLAYBOY cache.
Oh, and just in case you are wondering, Six – T stands for Terribly Tasteless Tacky Thailand Tourist Trinkets.
Enjoy the cache. It was really full when placed, so please feel free just to take something, though you are welcome to add small items as well, perhaps a tacky tourist trinket that you have bought previously.
