Das Fort Peyerl war Bestandteil der Landesfestung Ingolstadt, eines von mehreren Festungsbauten, die die Stadt ringförmig umgaben. Wie viele andere Anlagen der Festung wurde die Anlage jedoch zerstört, und an der selben Stelle eine Parkanlage eingerichtet, die heute einen Spielpark beherbergt.

Fort Peyerl was part of the fortification surrounding Ingolstadt. Like many other buildings built for the defense of the city, it was destroyed and replaced with a park, now containing a large playground area.
