Not far from pavement. No bushwhacking needed or allowed. Do not go north of the fence.
You are looking for a medium-sized lock-n-lock filled with garage sale goodies and a few extras. The first to find prize is a new Jefferson $1 coin. This cache is on private property with permission of the owner. From here you have a great view of Coos River and the Coast Range and the chance to be an eyewitness to blue herons, Canada geese, osprey and even, on rare occasions, eagles that glide over this ridge. They tend to fly low here. Repeat--do not go north of the fence.
