Located in the Great Plains State Park near a pick nick area, this is a great cache for young "treasure hunters"!!
After your find, please replace the cache and concealment rocks/material as you found them to ensure that mugglers don't spot the cache!
Some of our fondest memories are of our Geocaching adventures with our grandkids, or as they would remember it “treasure hunting”. This cache is placed with that theme in mind. We hope to fill it with items that kids would consider “treasures”. I can still see the smiles and excitement of our grandkids when they found a new cache filled with treasure, and hope to pass that happiness along.
Use caution, there could be spiders and snakes in this area! Also, there could be mugglers close by, so proceed with caution.
Original cache contents: Log and pencil, two travel bugs, boy and girl's watch, girl’s necklace, three novelty pens, key chain carabineer, crazy eights card deck, eraser, girl’s ring and earrings.
We also plan to launch travel bugs from this cache in memory of our beloved granddaughter, Courtney. Before we knew anything about treasure hunting, we had named our granddaughter Courtney Bug. Though her impish smile and ebullient personality graced us for far too little time, her Geocaching adventure can continue through travel bugs that journey to a distant destination and then back to a cache near her family.
