Geocache Description:


You are looking for a decon off a rough trail in the Brooker Creek Headwaters Nature Preserve. This is a replacement for the Ramblewood Double Jeep Cache (GCXNM4), an ammo can I placed nearby that was claimed by a brush fire. I decided to tempt fate again by replacing it with a decon, starting it off with a pair of red Jeeps. This is in the northeast part of the preserve and parking is available at the trailhead on Ramblewood Road a quarter mile to the south of the cache. There is a clearly visible trail, but the trail can often be soggy and overgrown and is not on Swiftmud's trail maps. The high terrain rating is because during the rainy season this part of the preserve gets very waterlogged and may require wading. If you go during the dry season it can be an easy stroll, a terrain of 2 at worst. The cache is named because the original contents include two (count em, two!) red Jeeps. It would be great if people dropped off other Jeeps here in the future.

Brooker Creek Headwaters Nature Preserve is operated by the Southwest Florida Water Management District and is open from sunrise to sunset. Permission from Hillsborough County land managers is currently required to place caches here.
