Geocache Description:

Located in Blanchette Park--named for Louis Blanchette, founder of Les Petite Cotes (City of the Little Hills...later St. Charles) on Dec. 7, 1914.

The terrain in this area of the park is steep. Closest parking is available near the picnic shelters and along the park road. Tennis courts, baseball fields, a playground, and the lovely Rau Gardens are also nearby.

This cache is a small tupperware container (3"x5"x1.5") hidden in an area that is often quiet. There is room for a few small trade items (original contents: STL Cardinals flag, fish squirter, and Dougieniles' Hector's Dolphin geocoin).

While you should be out of view when near the cache on most days, the potential for muggles nearby on nice (and especially snowy) days is high, so be extra mindful during those busy times. Please rehide the cache well.

Permission for this cache granted by Mike Cordry and the St. Charles Parks Department.

Park hours are from daylight to 10 p.m.

While you're in the park, make sure to also visit the Rau Gardens Mini

Enjoy!
