Pipedream's Original Foveaux Walkway (Southland) Traditional Cache
Whitemoose_: Another of Uncle Johns cache interfered with. Placed Nov 2007 with no problems all those years. Opening the area up to see who wants the position so badly if tourists can't find the steel plate hiding the cache all these years behind the big rock.

Located at the Port Town of Bluff, parking is available where State Highway one ends at Stirling point.
The Foveaux walkway is very popular so stealth is required at the cache site, which is about a twenty minute walk,with information panels and seats along the way. The walkway continues on to Lookout Point which was used for whale spotting in the whaling days, and gives panoramic views of Foveaux Straight and Stewart island. The cache is a 500 ml screw top container painted green. When placed it contained a Log Book, pen and pencil with various small trading items.
