Beenak Post Office Traditional Cache

We were passing by here on our way to place a cache for Mr Coffee’s 4x4 2x2 event when we spotted this interesting Location.

The tree here was the Mailbox tree for the Beenak Post Office.

Postal services started at Beenak on the 1^st November 1878 and continued through until 1951

Mail was posted and collected at the mailbox here on Monday Wednesday and Friday.

This road is a maintained unsealed road suitable for two wheel drive.

Take care as it is very popular with Motor bikes, Four Wheel Drives and Kangaroos.

The 1.5lt cache is located within 2mts of the tree.
