Geocache Description:

An easy cache-and-dash in a lay-by with a good view, on the road between the Tay Road Bridge and Tayport. *NOTE: YOU'LL NEED TO BRING A PEN FOR THIS ONE!!!* Also note - since lockdown this lay-by has become a lot busier due to a proliferation of mobile food vans using it, so need to choose your moment carefully!

One of the greatest pleasures of living in Tayport and working in Dundee is the journey home. Summer or winter; day or night; rain or shine the view from the south bank of the River Tay towards Dundee and Broughty Ferry is a treat whether you're seeing it for the first time or the millionth time. It never disappoints. Of course, living the busy lives we all do now-a-days we rarely get the chance to pause and enjoy it; so that's why we've named this cache "Bide A Wee While". Sure you can cache-and-dash it if you really want to, but that's missing the point. Bring a picnic (there are tables), a pair of binoculars and bide a wee while..
