Geocache Description:

Welcome to The Moose Mountain Mystery MultiCache!

If you've ever followed a set of moose tracks through the woods, you'll notice that they never go in a straight line and seem to wander everywhere. You are about to embark on a convoluted multi-cache - our moose likes all kinds of ways to hide things! Follow the tips he leaves you and you'll find the cache!

First - don't leave your computer! You need to let the moose out of the room - so go to the following web site and play the room escape game Loose the Moose - you need to get the door open:
(visit link)

When you have freed the moose - count the number of gumballs the mouse uses to spell out the congratulatory message! Use this number to calculate where to go next! Hint: its going to be a hike to the moose's favorite benchmark!

Second: Look up Bench Mark TT6738. This will be your starting point. (Yeah - bonus two-fer!!!!)

Now you can hit the trail!

When you have found the benchmark - the moose has left you a 'tip' nearby - but you have to use the total number of gumballs in the congratulatory message for your distance (feet), and walk the following bearing: total number of gumballs in the first word of the message + total number of gumballs in the second word of the message + 42 (remember moose are always True!).

Now you are hot on the trail! You've found your first tip which should lead to another and that will eventually lead you to the cache!

Note: The tips should lead you on about a 4 mile roundtrip hike from the parking, its all easier by keeping to the trail, you'll just have some moose-bashing brush-busting for the final 30 yards or so to each site.

Cache is NOT at the posted location (but it does make a handy parking spot)! Please don't block the gate and just park off the road a bit on the right (as you are going up) - a trail leads off up the hill from there. Please don't drive beyond the gate - if its open its just for the ski area buses.

Don't forget other nearby caches - Old Murphy Dome Ramble (gcrqnw), Trois (gc15wr7) and Wander (gc15wr8)! The parking listed is just one way in - either end of Old Murphy Dome road will also provide access.
