This is the second Chester City multicache and takes the form of a
series of locations designed to give visitors a quick tour of the
city and point out some lesser known sights to the locals. Once
again all the clues and the final micro lie within or on Chester
city walls. This time all the clues are located above head height.
I always think that people are too busy staring at the ground when
walking around Chester and miss some interesting sights.
The posted co-ordinates are for somewhere in the city centre and
are of no significance. The stages can be done in any order.
The co-ordinates for the cache itself take the form:
N53 11.abc W002 53.def
Clue a - N53 11.453 W002 53.340
What date is associated with J G Holmes?
a =(3rd digit – 4th digit)
Clue b – N53 11.484 W002 53.508
What is the date above “Antiqui Colant Antiquum Dieurum”?
b = (2nd digit – 3rd digit)
Clue c – N53 11.399 W002 53.592
What is the date above “In the Lord is my strength”?
c = (1st digit + 2nd digit – 3rd digit – 4th digit)
Clue d – N53 11.337 W002 53.464
Above “To God my King and Country” are a series of carvings. One
of them is called Susanna and the ? elders?
d = Number of elders + 2

e = 4th digit
Clue f - N53 11.585 W002 53.618
What is the date on the plaque above number 6?
f = 4th digit
Substitute the six digits to find the location of the micro.
Note that the cache is a micro with no writing implement and is
accessible from a public footpath. It is not hidden in any
undergrowth and is available 24/7.
Please be careful replacing the cache as it is quite fragile.
Could I also ask that no geocoins or other items are placed in it
as the weight could cause the container to become dislodged.
Thanks. .
Enjoy the walk.
