Tunnelblick - Fahrradtunnel



Der kleine Schlossbergtunnel (ugs. Fahrradtunnel) ist ein weiteres Tübinger Kultobjekt, das in seiner Art und Weise so nur in wenigen Städten zu finden ist. In einer von Fahrrad- und Liegeradfahrern dominierten Stadt verwundert es jedoch weniger, dass hier ein solches Objekt zu finden ist.
Der Tunnel ist ca 250 Meter Lang und seit Juli 2007 für Mopeds gesperrt. Er verbindet die Neckarhalde an der Alleenbrücke mit dem Platz "Vor dem Haagtor" und wird vor allem morgens und nachmittags von Schülern bevölkert die auf eines der drei anliegenden Gymnasien gehen. Bis zur Fertigstellung des benachbarten Tunnels der B28, fuhr hier für knapp drei Jahre auch einspurig der Kraftfahrzeugverkehr.
Heute dient der Tunnel jedoch ausschließlich als Personen und Fahrradtunnel und wird hin und wieder auch als Veranstaltungsort genutzt.

Zeitweise sehr hohes Muggelaufkommen, deshalb Vorsicht beim heben/loggen des Caches.




The small Schlossberg Tunnel (coll. bicycle tunnel) is another cult object which can only be found in few cities. But it fits perfectly in the surroundings of a bicycle and recumbent bike dominated town as Tübingen.
The tunnel is about 250 meters long, and since July 2007 closed for mopeds. It combines the "Neckarhalde" at the "Alleenbrücke" with the "Platz vor dem Haagtor". In the mornings and afternoons the tunnel is crowded by students that are on their way to school to one of the three neighboring high schools.
During the completion of the contiguous tunnel of the B28, there was single-lane traffic was routed through the small tunnel.
Today the tunnel is only used by walkers and bicycles and is occasionally used as a venue.

As already mentioned temporary there are many muggels, so be careful when lifting/logging the cache.
