When I first moved to this area I had to commute on the nearby
highway. I carpooled with another biologist who also has a good eye
for spotting raptors. Every morning for well over a year, rain or
shine, there was a light morph, Red Tailed hawk perched on one of a
series of fenceposts. We named this bird Ralph. Of course, being
biologist, we were not sure that it was the same individal but it
made for great conversation on our commute.
You will notice that there a alot of raptors or birds of prey in
this area. These vernal pool/rangelands are very productive areas
for small rodents, rabbits, snakes, small birds, etc. Thus the
title of the cache.
Whenever my wife and I talk about this area, we refer to it as
Ralph's Pantry. For example, "There was a fire in Ralph's pantry
today", or "the police were in a high speed chase today and it
ended with the perp crashing in, running off into, and trying to
hide in Ralph's pantry." (True Story!) Look around Where was he
gonna Hide?!?!?!
The Cache is an cammo ammo can. Please hide/return cache when
finished.
Peace!
