Get Them Kids A Caching! Traditional Cache
-Tiki-: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. This cache is located in the Hudson Mills Metropark - see below. The cache is a 12" lock tight container which should be fairly easily accessible for cachers of all ages and abilities - I hid it with my 2 year old in tow.
Hudson Mills has a beautiful paved trail which is 5 km long, a disc golf course, nature trails, beach volleyball courts, an activity center, and a nice play area for kids.
This cache is primarily aimed at cachers with kids as it is located fairly near the play area. It was hidden in January when the plant life was wilting, so there may be the possibility of a bit of bush-wacking come summer (only about 20' or so if any).
When placed this cache was loaded with goodies for kids, along with some foreign coins, and some DISCOUNT COUPONS for various RESTAURANTS, GOLF COURSES, and other services. Please take several coupons as some expire soon - help yourself to whatever you think you will use as I'd hate to see them go to waste. Please try and leave booty that is good for kids as this is who this cache is aimed at, although a few adult prizes would be okay too. The FTF prize is some jewellery for some lucky mum of a cacher.
Hudson Mills is part of the Huron-Clinton Metropolitan Authority park system. A Metropark Vehicle Entry Permit is required:
Annual Permit $20, Senior Permit $12, Daily Permit $4. For general information please call 1-800-47-PARKS, or visit their website at www.metroparks.com. All park rules and regulations apply. Please park in parking lots only and check the Metroparks website for park hours.
