The road to the cache will also lead you to a popular picnic spot.
Cache is located between the road & the river. You will need to approach it via the river bank as the land above the cache is now private property.
Flat Rock is at the confluence of Gibson Creek and the Kangaroo River, in Upper Kangaroo Valley. The creek flows over an expanse of flat rock making for a very picturesque scene. This is an ideal picnic spot with cool, clear running waters which are suitable for paddling or just floating about.
You are surrounded on all sides by the thick forests and high sandstone cliffs of the Budderoo National Park. Pack the picnic, bring the dog and plan to spend the day.
The road in is mainly paved with the last 4 Ks gravel, which can be rough especially after rain.
** Don't cross the causeway next to Flat Rock as the road ends 100 metres further on and there is no where to turn around.**
