Mariaboom




Dit bijzonder mooi en afgelegen kruis, kwam ik tegen op mijn zoektocht naar grotten in de nabijgelegen rotswand. Door de tijd heen is het een kruising geworden tussen een maria-grot en een boom. Het pad erheen is meestal modderig, trek daarom goede schoenen of laarzen aan. We hebben deze cache afgelopen vakantie geplaatst, omdat we zelf onze 300ste gevonden hadden. De grotten in de puddingstenen rotsen zijn moeilijk toegankelijk, klein en gevaarlijk. Bij de watertoren is grot Trou Ozer (500 m diep), maar deze is afgesloten.

This particular and out of the way cross I discovered while I was searching for caves in the rocks in the neaberhood. Through the time the maria-cave and the tree has become one. The path towards the cache can be very muddy; so wear good shoes or boots. We placed this cache because we found our 300th last holiday (last week). The caves in the pudding rocks are difficult to explore: small and dangerous. Near the watertower is cave Trou Ozer (500 m depth), but it's closed.
