Geocache Description:

Roadside parking on Hillside Rd puts you at the woods edge and part of the Wildcat Ridge WMA. There is a trailhead around the parking coords below and this trail brings you to the mine area. Varied terrain.

The cache is tucked around a water filled iron mine shaft cut into a rock knoll. This site was worked during the 1800's and most likely part of the Pardee mine works. 3-inch copper tube is situated in a location that doesn't place you at shafts edges. It's interesting to see how nature is slowly reclaiming the land. Treequest
