Geocache Description:

Located in beautiful Cherokee County near Lake Allatoona. Close to
parking, short but thorny hike to cache.

This cache is easy to get to but beware of muggles as during the week this can be a busy location with lots of trucks and tractors. Also on the weekend there are a lot of muggles loading dirt into pickup trucks. Best times to visit are evenings during the week. Careful when exiting and entering Highway 20 as traffic is ferocious at times. Lots of parking available and you can take in the wonderful views of Lake Allatoona.

If you bring your pickup throw a shovel in the back as you can take all of the dirt you want. This is pure Lake Allatoona silt dredged from the bottom of the lake and when mixed with peat moss, manure, and red Georgia clay, makes as fine a soil for your garden as you'll find anywhere. As the sign says though, "No Bobcats or front end loaders!"

If you can, please leave a travel bug if you decide to take a travel bug. I travel frequently all over the US and Canada so the Hotel will be well stocked and any bugs left behind run the risk of a First Class seat on Delta Jet service to some unknown destination!
